For those who cannot read Chinese, there are English versions of it.
This institute is marvelous (now feeling want to become a part of it... :P ).
However, I doubt the spreading of Confucism to be the best thing in the world, yet the spread of the Chinese language is definitely something worth getting out there. (a.k.a., start studying, people!) :P
What if you can create a school in which, not only classes are given, but much much more (like a whole chinese setting brought to europe or something). Anyways... just a side-note. (Get a feeling that Ivo's room is quite in danger of being re-modeled in a few years).
Somewhat exciting, this research world (I wonder if you can teach Chinese w/ heavy metal... definitely sth to look into...). However, they did point out one fact that was, well, rather sad. Due to historical reasons (much to lengthy), the Chinese have forgotten quite a bit about contemporary art. Perhaps that's the hit Taiwan should make. At least, the last before we die out under the power of the greater China (no, actually, I doubt this, in creativity sense... at least) <-- Taiwan is based on a history of fishing and traveling culture, making the people more daring, more creativity and more... about survival (i guess), whereas the Chinese are more stable, more nostalgic, but also more tradition keeping in the long run (they're much more into the history than we are)... There's gotta be a balance between the two.
Contemporary Chinese literary scene... I wonder what that is aside from a lot of traveling books and even more "be happy" short stories (and hence, where's the reality?). Somehow, in this sense, the French decadence is quite attractive (rrr france <-- someone once opposed grrr, so now it is rrrr). Need to look into it before I make further comments though (getting the idea that people would oppose).
well... we can do a minor test at the contemporary Chinese literary scene. :P I mean, if they want travel books... >:P <--
should be evil grin, but doesn't look evil enough.
